Mount Faber Park
Recently I found my legs bringing me to a place I've not visited since 12 years old. If I did not remember wrongly, the last time I went there was around the age of 12 whereby my dad bought my brothers and me up there to feed kois.
The place where I fed kois now has turned into a box, the jewel box. I've no idea if the koi pound is still there because I've no interest of going in to explore.
The whole park is now more of a tourist attraction then a place for families or individuals going there for a walk or exercise, but of cause you still can spot S'poreans up the park very very often. Just that I find tourist taking up a larger visitors population.
The park has a long history and I'm not here to tell you stories. Interested parties can go on the web and search 'Mount Faber'. But seriously, the Park provides great views of the city area, very stunning. I don't mind climbing up the stairs once in a while just to view the beauty it has to offer.
And here are some of the photos I took during the trip.
On the way up you'll get to 'peep' into what's installed for you up there.
And from this spot one can already clearly see the skyline before you reach the very top.
The tallest 3 peeping out from the tree bark.
Peeping through the greenery, which the park has lots of it.
One can even spot bits of the Harbour Front area and Sentosa.
The port can be seen too.
Up the hill one can find a abandon gift & souvenir store. The ceiling fan has also been abandoned for a long time.
And of cause the telecoms stands up the hill. There's 2 up there, it's not in used anymore. I guess its considered as some kinda 'statues' or 'landmark' for the park.
Alright, enough of photos. There's of cause a few other stuff up the hill, check them out yourself if you want to.
