The new kid
During my secondary school days, I could always see the hotel tower that is part of the Tangs building on my way to school. It was standing there clearly strikingly and in front of it was an empty plot of slop land that's the hang out place for maids during every weekend. That was then.
Now, today, what stands on the plot of land is a mall and a tall residential building. ION Orchard is the name of the mall, it officially had its soft opening yesterday. It's a stunning mall to me. It's amazing how they dug the underground to create such an amount of lettable space as everyone knows, there's also the subway underground. Go and explore to understand what I mean. Sadly, basement seems to be the only hangout appropriate for mid-range people such as me. Above ground are great brands that I doubt I would ever know how to appreciate. Go and explore to get what I mean. Eventually I did not explore completely the mall due to time and also part of it was still under renovations.
I miss what was a sight I once was so used to. In it's place is a new sight. Orchard Road isn't what I once used to know, except for that person performing along the underpass from Tangs to subway station. Yes, he is still there even today.
