Terminal 1

Lots had happened ever since 24th July. Those 7 weeks would have seriously been impossible without the grace, blessings, love, guidance and enable of God. The next phrase would begin on Tuesday. How would things be I've no idea, but what had took place during the 7 weeks acts as a good reminder that He is always there.

As for now, lets take a moment to look at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport. Recently they've started renovation works for the terminal. Come to think of it, this terminal has been in operation for more then 20 years. Walking through it one does feels that the terminal is old. But it is through all these 'old stuffs' that one finds an attachment to it. Many of the features has been gone, such as a rickshaw for people to pose for photo.

Things has changed over the years, and currently its going through a major change. The viewing mall now is only left with a small area, with the rest fenced up for renovations. I believe that the viewing mall has been one that many has fond memories of plane watching there. And seriously to see planes, one would agree that Terminal 1's viewing mall is a lot better then Terminal 3.

How would the renovated Terminal 1 be? How much of the old would remain bringing some sort of memories that makes one has a feeling of attachment to it? Answers would only be found when its all completed.

This photo was taken at the viewing mall. One would see the original tiles (or maybe it was re-tiled before?), the mosaic tiles of the facade, but being destroyed for renovation works, and lastly is the renovation works going on. To me somehow it does tells of 3 phases of the terminal. Firstly is the old being intact, followed by the old being destroyed for the new, and lastly the addition of new.
