Fireworks when the clock strikes 00:00

This entry is mainly about the write up rather than the image, as it has already been posted in various platforms.
I wonder why our Marina Bay Countdown was not reported in those well reputable news channels. We brand ourselves as a globalized country and this was such a well organized event, but nope, we are not featured. Why not?
Should we stop this fireworks highlight that many other countries are doing as well and go for something else? I beg to differ. Fireworks is an amazing invention.
But just like many other things, too much of it is bad. Why do I say that? Look at the fireworks display at Marina Bay Countdown. The first few seconds were great. The patterns created from every burst for the first few seconds were able to be seen clearly and they are beautiful. After which, it started to be covered with smoke. One could basically only see bits of sparks but hear loud burst going on and on within that thick forest of smoke.
Perhaps the development of the bay in recent years has a part to play for the smoke not moving away quick enough. The structures surrounding the bay might have created a enclosed area whereby wind pressure through the bay has been reduced.
Perhaps the intervals between every burst were too closely timed. If they slowed down and/or reduced the number of burst and/or have more variations of height to the burst, smoke might be reduced. They could also put laser lighting show to be part of the fireworks display as well. This would allow time for some smoke to move away before the next burst fires off. Another possibility could be having more firing points that are suitably distanced away from each other (but this is impossible due to the limited space within the area that the event is currently being held). This would lessen the number of burst each firing points needs to fire, and therefore reducing the smoke amount.
It's really pointless for having a million burst but more than 90% of it is hidden within smoke. The patterns created will just not be seen and that's a waste. I would rather have lesser burst and then be able to admire every pattern created by every burst.
The essence of fireworks? Ha-ha. But I think the above isn't really important as almost every other country that has a massive fireworks display seems to be covered with smoke similar to our Marina Bay Countdown fireworks display.
That brings me to another question. Where do all the smoke goes too?
